By trade, I'm a commercial wardrobe stylist and costume designer for tv, web, and print. When traveling for shoots, and in everyday life, I needed a way to tote around my jewelry without it getting all tangled in transit. Inspired by the storage techniques of a dear jewelry designer friend of mine. I sat down one day and made myself a jewlery roll that would keep necklaces hanging separately all the while all rolled up safe and cozy....that day Beckasoup was born!
Ever since, I've been using my favorite materials, like grosgrain ribbon, vintage buttons, and cute cotton prints to make travel accessories that are not only adorable, but keep your goodies safe and secure!!
I have a penchant for vintage postcards, old dishes, cherry pie, and anything pink. I live in the amazing bourough of Brooklyn in a teeny weeny little apartment with an old, very purry cat, and way too many sewing supplies.
